Visits Berlin to document the 60th anniversary of the
end of World War II and the opening of the Holocaust
Memorial in central Berlin. A
series of articles are published on the web site
during this period.

The second issue of articles are published on the web
site. The theme is commemoration events and efforts
to establish civilian casualties regarding the war in
Iraq and includes interviews with Ruth
Boswell of the Stop the War Coalition in the UK, Mary
Zerkel of the Eyes Wide Open exhibit and John
Sloboda, initator of the Iraq Body Count project.

I receive a substantial stipend from the Swedish Art
Grant Committee for the Polynational War Memorial project.
March 2004
I was invited to hold a one-week course at the School
of Architecture in Stockholm with this project as a
starting point. Students were assigned the task to create
a proposal for a Polynational War Memorial which should
address at least on of the issues regarding accessibility,
differences of cultural expression or location. The
proposals are presented briefly in the article "Drafts
for a Multilateral War Memorial" on this site
which also features a special presentation of participant Kristina
Cedrins' proposal.
October 4 - 26, 2003
Solo exhibition at Gallery Hlemmur, Reykjavik. This
solo exhibit featured an animation titled "101
Years", which shows all wars in the 20th century
on 32 seconds. The animation was projected onto one
of the walls in the largest room of the gallery. The
animation was also shown at a one-day open studios event
at Temple Bar Gallery and Studios in Dublin on September
6, 2003. More information about these events can be
