The Rettig commission found in 1991 that around 3000 people had been killed by the miltary Junta headed by Augusto Pinochet since the coup that outsted Allende in 1973.
Memoria Viva, a web site which is run by a chilean human rights group, lists several thousand names of the disappeared and executed. It is mainly in Spanish but an English section has recently been added.
